About the track:

In an effort to pay tribute to the greatest Hip-Hop producer of all time, on what would have been his 33 birthday, Wednesday, February 7, 2007, Miguel and I (Carlos Nino) came up with the idea of creating a companion piece that would serve as an introduction, DJ tool and expansion. As you'll notice, this is an orchestral arrangement of "Nag Champa" from Common's classic Like Water For Chocolate. What you may not realize is that this arrangement is completely in sync with, and accents nuances within, the original vocal recording.

*Please note, when syncing with the instrumental version, you will have to adjust the pitch up a small amount for this arrangement to fit just right. Please have fun and be creative! Proceeds of the future release of this recording and others like it will go directly to:
