Redapple here, sorry for the delay in the update. So I ended up getting fired from CRST and here is what happened:

My second trainer at CRST after dilivering the load in Lerado, picked up another load and then got a Quallcom message saying that they were sending me on a Grehound bus back to a terminal. So we get to San Antonio TX and I get a taxi to the bus terminal. I take the Greyhound to the terminal in Oklahoma City.

When I get to OK City I call my dispatcher in Cedar Rapids and a guy from dispatch asks me whats going on. I tell him that I am having some problems driving. My trainer told him that I had some wrist problems and had some problems with lane centering.

I did not tell the guy from saftey about the problems I was having with the trainners, I only told him that I thought I could drive safely with more practice. Well, he says that he will get back to me. I end up calling him a few hours latter and he tells me that they are letting me go.

At this time I am hanging out in the drivers lounge at the terminal. So I start telling another student about what had happened and his trainner overheard what I was saying and he said he could train me. So latter that night he gave me a drive test in his truck and he told me that he would be able to train me if CRST would let him.

So I spent that next 2 days hanging out in the terminal talking with this driver and the saftey department to see if I could get it worked out. I ended up talking to my dispatcher and he checked on it and said that it was to late since I had already gotten fired.

After that I got a bus ticket back to New York City and found another company to go to. One of my friends who used to drive for Covenent offered to train me but since he hadn't driven since '03 all the companies we called wanted him to go out and drive for some time before he would be able to train me.

Now I am in Allentown PA and am going to be going to orientation for Werner Enterprises and am going to be going out with a trainner in a few days. I can't wait to get on the road.

This time it is going to work. I just need to remember that the wheel is not going to go anywhere when on the interstate and to not jam the stick into gear. I know that I am going to do this and I am going to be very serious about this and make it work.

I can't wait.

Werner isnt the best company out there, but at least you should be able to get your feet wet. Your pretty much at your last opportunity here, so when you have problems with the trainer, try to work it out, if not call the people back at the terminal and get some one else who can train you. You career depends on that now.

I'm not trying to sound negitive, but dont just ride it out, if you have a problem with the trainer, tell someone about it and get a new trainer. Do your year with werner and then you can find a better company after that
