Current mood:  irritated
Category: Life

Most of you who know me know that I am a "live and let live" person.  I am very open when it comes to things like spirituality and politics, but today a friend posted something that really offended me.  Now I have known this person for some time and for the most part thought they were ok, but I never knew the view this person had until this past election campaign.  They changed their profile to reflect these views.  All the while they have continued to send bullitens and spout retoric and untill now I just laughed it off and shook my head at how misguided I thought this person was (I still think so), but the status he posted today took the cake :

(person's name) wonders why Obama Christ Superstar didn't have a mother who had the same abortion beliefs as he, then we wouldn't have to deal with him now....

I left a comment on their profile that that statement was offensive and hurtful

I think in all conscience I should drop this person, which is sad.  I understand they have a different view, but I cant agree with that kind of talk.  I understand that everyone has a different point of view and I genuinely respect that, but when I see a gay man with his head soooo far up REPUBLICAN'S asses, I just dont get it!  These are people who basically want to deny his very existence based on who he is.  These are people who want to take away any rights that gays have gained (which is a constant battle to begin with) and relegate them to not even second class, but THIRD class citizens, if that!  It's like a Black person voting for the Ku Klux Klan.  I just cant understand that!  He's so buisy waving the red white and blue that he's denying the rainbow, and therefore a part of himself.

I'm sorry ya'll but I have let this go and let this go, but when I saw that status comment today, I just had to say something.
