First let me begin by saying the only reason I found out about this movie was when I resarched Matt Berry http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Berry from watching Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, Snuff Box and The IT Crowd. Wikipedia gave me the lowdown (love wikipedia!) when I found out the premise of the movie I was intrigued >>>>>With a pocketful of drugs, Nick West takes out his girlfriend Sammy, for a shag and a good time. When they explore an abandoned asylum, the discovery of a bizarre device - a cross between an electric chair and sadistic fetish machine - transforms drugged-out bliss into agony and despair. After Sammy is brutally assaulted and murdered by unseen forces, Nick becomes the number-one suspect. So begins British horror director Adam Mason's gore-fest The Devil's Chair, a dark and terrifying journey to the meeting place between insanity and the supernatural. Years pass and Nick, who had been locked up in a mental hospital, is released into the care of eminent psychiatrist Dr. Willard, who is hell-bent on exposing the truth behind the killing. Accompanied by Dr. Willard and several of his students, Nick returns to the scene of the crime. However, the decrepit asylum hides a blood-drenched secret. With Dr. Willard's team in mortal danger, their only hope is the clinically insane Nick. Chained by memories of the horrifying event and the conflicting version of reality engendered by his psychiatric treatment, Nick is forced to fight the forces of pure darkness to save the team and prove his innocence. Events build to a brutal, gut-wrenching climax where nothing is what it seems.<<<<<< so I went into the movie with that basic knowledge...and the movie delivered BIG TIME, BUT it also was a TOTAL MIND FUCK in a GOOD way!!!!!!!! all the way around....the premise is NOT the WHOLE STORY!!!!!! This movie encompasses elements of...Clive Barker's Hellraiser...Hammer House of Horror movies of the 70's...28 days....silence of the lambs....tiny smattering Identity and Scream. I have seen a lot of horror movies in my day (I grew up with the ORIGINAL Last house on the left, texas chainsaw, the hills have eyes, etc) but this one really kept you in the moment, it gives you both sides of the "reality" in a hardcore way!!!!

ONE BLOOD SOAKED SCENE!!

I have never really done a commenary track, but there is one with the writer/director Adam Mason and writer Simon Boyes.  Also the specal features includes an EXCELLENT making of doko. This is the shit esp. for all you production junkies like me!! The director and the writer lay it all out!!! Its just mind blowing hearing them talk about how twisted this movie COULD HAVE BEEN!!! as proof of some of the original voice over cuts from the final scenes (Fucked Up!!!) This also features scenes that never made it to the final cut. For you Matt Berry fans there's a nice clip of some humorus outtakes.

Great docko it really gets to the heart of the spirit of indy film making....true behind the scenes of a movie in the CONSTANT process of change while it was being filmed (hence the scenes that never made it to the final cut) ...The production tells the story of people who really believed in this film.
It was a very satisfying and disturbing little film and I HIGHLY RECCOMEND IT!!!!

ONE OF TWO MOVIE POSTERS

There are also trailers for other movies, and I thought I would pass that info along as well

Impact Point --- Blonde Pro beach volleyball player has a stalker...could it be Brian Austin Green?? looks like really lame cheese

The tatooist --- evil tatoos!!! looks really hott, bitches

The Cottage (The Shed) --- old school chainsaw type maybe? (tongue in cheek nod)? read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cottage_(film) after I read that, It sounds like a pretty gruesome little film (she said grinning fiendishly)

Linewatch --- Urban (and yes that means black, lol! ) crime drama starring Academy Award winner Cuba Gooding Jr. and Sharon Leal (Boston Public)

Buried Alive --- six people buried alive --- save your breath (the actual words of the trailer) might hit you hard if you're claustrophobic

Zombie Strippers -- I have seen this movie and its fucking great awesome cheese!!! Starring Robert Englund, Jenna Jameson (yes THE Jenna Jameson) and UFC's Tito Ortiz...... think of zombies, think of strippers, think of them happening all in the same place!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zombie_Strippers Believe it or not this movie was based on a French existential absurdist play, lol, but dont let that stop you. Like I said it's totally fucking great awesome cheese!!!!!
