What it is: This December, world leaders will decide on the future of humanity. They will meet in Copenhagen to try to set a course to prevent runaway global warming and to facilitate the new green economy. On October 24th, the world will rise together for the International Day of Climate Action to demand that this global treaty be fair, ambitious and binding.
Thousands of events will take place around the world. C-Day: Fill The Hill in Ottawa will be the largest in Canada and among the largest globally. We invite all Canadians to join us on Parliament Hill. By strength in numbers we will demonstrate that the climate crisis cannot and will not be swept under the political negotiation tables. If we do not rise to the occasion, our Parliament’s current course of inaction and lack of leadership on this issue will be deeply regrettable for all of us. History will not be kind to us. The consequence of inaction – runaway global warming – will be irreversible. Now is the time to act.

Rise Again is the new documentary by award-winning Canadian Filmmaker, Rob Stewart, whose revolutionary film Sharkwater (2007) has won 33 international awards and has become the second biggest environmental documentary, next to An Inconvenient Truth. Rise Again follows Stewart on a journey to change the world where he unites with conservation groups across the globe to start the green revolution necessary to save our climate, species, resources and ultimately humanity.
