Current mood:  happy
So I finally have access to the internet but it turns out I still don't really have long to do blogs and emails and stuff so I am going to try and do one every couple days.  I may not have time to write everyone long personal emails except for quick notes here and there so if you want to know what's going on with me you are just going to have to read my blogs.  Anyways it is my second day of school here at the up-to-date academy and so far it seems great.  The school itself is very nice and modern looking.  My class is small with only 7 girls, 2 italians that are like 40 years old, 2 mexicans, and 1 turkish girl who is 28.  The 2 mexicans who are named Ximena and Claudia both speak english and are around my age and so far I really like them and we are starting to become friends.  The turkish girl also speaks english so we are friends with her as well.  We all went out for lunch yesterday and it was very nice.  They already invited me to do things with them and we are already planning to travel and take some weekend trips together.  This week I think I am going with Ximena to the leaning tower of Pisa.  My teacher is really cool she speaks italian and a little english so there is a translator for us.  She has had a lot of experience in the fashion industry and has been working in it for 19 years in all different areas.  It is frustrating that I can't understand italian because I know that not everything gets translated over and the translator doesn't really have that good of pronunciation, though she is really nice and cool also.  So the teacher talks for awhile and we just sit there and then it takes only like 1 minute to translate.  Oh well what can you do?  I am definitely starting to pick up on more and more italian and can understand a little bit but I am still pretty nervous about speaking it and so I don't really...Anyways well you know how lots of people say oh ya in the big city of milan lots of people speak english?  Well it's a lie...nobody does.  So it's kind of hard just to go eat somewhere or go into a store and stuff.  I really hope I learn more italian quickly cause I hate the whole language barrier thing. I can't beleive I have only been here for about 2 weeks...It feels like it has at least been a month so you can imagine a lot has happened already.  I don't have time right now to tell you about my time here before school started and more about what I am learning so far and stuff but I will try and fill you in very soon. Ciao for now!
