Current mood: optimistic
You know what I feel a little sore lump in my arm and my mind tells me to go to the doctors and check it out and I know I won't get round to it for at least two weeks. That knowledge about yourself does go to show how lazy one can be and how horribly detrimental procrastination will be... Its nothing serious I'm sure. Its a sore little lump in my elbow that's under a scar; cause when I was 15 I went through a window cutting open my arm in various places ...I'm sure my parents and one of my best mates Russell would remember that one specifically...
Anyway, that idea that we get up, do what we do in an attempt to get some where is the very thing I'm questioning at the moment. I mean I don't want to be a lazy bum - I like any other broseph has aspirations and dreams and ambitions - but its what we do to achieve those things that really defines us.
This morning I've spent about 2 hours doing the web page on Fbook for our next gig on September 1st on Brick Lane (Cafe 1001, Dray Walk - Free Gig) and its exciting; I know I have a responsibility to the other guys - and I know I do it cause I LOVE it...we all do - we love playing together and slowly but surely we're becoming a good, if not great, group...
There'll be more songs to take into rehearsal, more songs to cut on the studio - as we haven't cut any studio time with our current set - we're slowly building our fanbase - for every gig we play we get a few more followers... and the future looks bright (not orange)...
Essentially, this has been a great great summer for the band and its been very much I early steps forward... but I really hope something comes from the hard work we've put in so far...
Bring on Autumn.
