Right now outside of the day to day work running LDC and looking after the maintenance and logistics of our storage clients it's all about Skunk Anansie!! The band performed their first high profile live show (if you don’t count the two secret gigs at the Water Rats earlier this year!) at MTV day, Italy in September.

You can check out the performance at the following link….

The show was a pretty busy one for me. With bass drum heads nearly splitting, cymbal stands breaking and microphones moving all over the place I have to say it was pretty tough but we got through.

Be sure to check out the live shows throughout October and November… If you can get a ticket!

I’m delighted to say that there have been a few enjoyable additions to our already impressive client list of the UK’s best session drummers. I’ve been out on recording sessions with Jeremy Stacey (Sheryl Crow), Pete Lewinson (Sade) and we’ve been working with Karl Brazil on a few different things.

Real World Studios – LDC was recently here with Pete Lewinson.

One of LDC’s newest clients, Karl Brazi

LDC hire has had a record number of kits out this summer. The usual diverse mix of clients has included Baaba Maal, Average White Band, The Offset Festival, The Living End, Billy Talent, Lady Gaga, Calvin Harris, Amon Amarth, Gary Husband, Groove Armada, The 69 Eyes, George Benson, SOiL, Jack DeJohnette, Vinnie Colaiuta, Primal Scream and Placebo.

A big thank you to all our clients and this means everyone who’s been in to the shop, ordered something online or hired a kit and I don’t just mean the recognisable names above I mean all of you. Without you we couldn’t do what we do and it’s always worth remembering that. Here’s to many more years doing what we do!

Talk to you soon…
