About Us:

1)With CXCR6 there are no contracts, we don't want the rights to your tracks, more than anything we are a distribution platform. We put all releases out through a plethora of torrent trackers, and promote them there. We can't promise you a fucktonne of downloads, but we will try our best. Most of our artists so far have had thousands of downloads through us.

2)There is no money involved with CXCR6, although you can have a direct-donation button on the website so that people can donate directly to you.

3)To be on CXCR6, you need to have the original lossless (.wav, .aiff, .flac) copies of your music. This is so it can be converted into .flac (lossless) and Lame -V0 MP3 for the site. Exceptions can be made, for example if you only have your music in 320 MP3, but having the original WAVS is the most ideal situation. If you only have your music in low-quality mp3, or a transcoded format, it's no good to us.

4)Have a listen to the tracks on the site to see what kind of artists/bands we already have, and like. For example, if you're a ska-punk band, chances are we won't be interested. We very much like electronica, post-rock, but generally anything intelligent and original.

That's about it. CXCR6 is only a small netlabel, but we have good ideas, good connections and access to distribution methods that many don't. We know how music distribution and promotion is evolving, and we're already ahead of the curve.


To submit your music:

There are a few different ways you can do this.

1)Message me on either the CXCR6 myspace or the Xihilisk myspace, and i will check out your myspace.

Please send the message from the account you want me to look at.

2)Go to the CXCR6 mainsite, and use the soundcloud 'send me your track' button on the About page.

3)Send an email, with links only, !!not attached MP3s!!, to lloyd@cxcr6.com
