Hello Friends,
Well, it's true. I am about to go swimming down that whiskey river, off into the sunset. It has been a fantastic trip, to be sure, but the time has come for Catfish Whiskey to hang up our hats.
Reasons for this are numerous, of course, but none of them are negative. After Keegan moved back to west TX, all the various members began doing their own thing and doing a pretty damn fine job of it. Turns out the filth was good training grounds for what was coming next:
-Keegan is pursuing a solo career, and his new album was nominated Album of the Year by the Fort Worth Weekly. He was also nominated Folk/Acoustic Artist of the Year. http://www.myspace.com/keeganmcinroe
-Michael formed My Wooden Leg, which was nominated Best New Band of the Year by the Fort Worth Weekly.

Travis is now playing bass in My Wooden Leg, as well as a number of other projects, including Trailer Park Princess.

Johnny has began an exciting endeavor as the drummer for Matt Wayne

With all of these exciting new opportunities, some fat had to be cut, and I am one fat fish.
However, before we go, we have three more stunts to pull and we hope to see all our old friends before we're through:
Friday, August 28th - Shooters - Lubbock, TX - 9:30pm-1:30pm
Friday, Sept 4th - Uncle Bill Roach Band Music Festival - Meridian, TX - 6pm-7pm
**this is a cancer benefit, camping out, music extravaganza of a weekend, please come out if you are at all able...Meridian is just one hour south of Fort Worth, and it is more than a worthy cause not to mention one of the last chances to see yours truly. For more info visit:
www.TXMusicFestival.com.
Sunday, Oct 11th - Fred's Cafe - Fort Worth, TX - 6pm-9pm
***THIS IS OUR LAST SHOW*** w/ special guest Graham Wilkenson at 3pm
Mostly, we all want to thank our loyal and loving friends and family who have stuck with us for these past six years...even down in the ugly and nastiest of mud...and there was plenty of that...we love you all. You know who you are. And we thank you. Please do keep in touch with us, as we will all still be very much around. Your support in our other endeavors is greatly appreciated already.
Adios.
