I started thinking about when two people first meet. I am the kind of person who immediately imagine a whole scenario, or relationship in my head. So I went back to when I first met my wife and made this song about her. It's funny, because when we fantasize, we never ask permission to do so. So I thought, what would happen if when you met that person, and thought you were in love with them, if you asked permission to imagine what life would be like with them.

So I have this character see the person across a room, and instead of immediately fantasizing, he asks if he can have permission to do so. We assume she says yes, as the rest of the song is his fantasy...or is it the reality since he was bold enough to ask???
