Love the song. Can't wait for the CD.

 

Well I'm nobody but I've been in the Music business for 20 years on and off. Blown Away is a great trackand I can't believe it didn't make the cut. Either your producer is deaf or the material is differnt and it didn't fit in. Either way keep it on the burner for yourself or someone eles who willing to pony up some cash for a great song.

We recorded 14 tracks. All of them turned out great and fit within the context of the album. However, my producer and I didn't want the record to run out of steam. It was getting too long. Now I have 2 additional songs ready for the next record or for anyone who wants a song from me for a compilation or some other project. It was a tough decision but well thought out. My producer is anything but deaf and his work should speak for itself.

Since the version of "Blown Away" that we recorded for the album contains additional overdubs and a new vocal, the old version on my myspace no longer exists. I'm considering making that old version a free download after I get my publishing straightened out. Thanks for the support and I'll keep you posted on the release.
 

Eleanor, while I certainly trust your judgement and that of your producer, I am sorry that "Blown Away" won't make this particular cut for the new CD. I am so grateful to you for providing me a cut of it for playing on WMNF 88.5 in Tampa when I guest-hosted last year. It was very well received and truly is one awesome song. You should be proud of it. As for being disappointed, I really am not. If a song of that quality failed to make the album, then that says something very positive about what a jewel the upcoming CD will be. Best wishes to you and thanks again.

 

Sorry about the deaf thing but it's not often anymore that a song hits my ears and I say it's a hit right away. I'm quess it's just because I like the song. I'm sure you disc will be great. I have a real good feeling about your sound and timing and the musicians your collaborating with. Waiting.......
