It took several years to create this identity and make CLAMPDOWN sound unique.
That’s strong metal, no mistake about that, but…the guys are more than metal heads.
The idea’s to give musical violence its real place, and bring some kind of sweetness inside chaos. All is a matter of intensity. Main influences would be: Gojira and Meshuggah for loudness and complexity, Opeth and Katatonia for beauty and rest.

Lyrics, although dark and desperate at first sight, fits with the overall musical atmosphere, pretending nothing more than revealing hidden fears of human being, and man’s infinite quest of the unknown.

Working with Ahddenteam studio on this album has been the band’s achievement of building a powerful, but still bright and natural sound.

Recording, mix and mastering were almost made home at sound engineer R3myboy’s small flat in Lille, France.

The result is simply overwhelming.
