That's right, folks.  In case you haven't got the news, I've joined the deep ranks of the jobless in this here fine recession we got goin'.  Business got worse and worse and, thus, down came the axe.  Well, it's more like how the Muslims do it in those videos -- kind of a sawing motion.

Why?  Cuz I was told I'm soon to be a memory but then got the chance to stay for an extra week while I finish up some things and train my replacement.  Yow.  It's an extra week of pay but it's a weird sort of limbo I'm in.  But most of the time, it's ok.  Only occasionally is it really painful.  Ah, well.  So it goes.

I'm pondering now the "what next?"  I figure I'll stay in the area but who knows...  Perusing the possibilities.  Stay tuned.
