R.I.P. Dave Day
It is with great sadness that we have heard that Dave Day, banjo player for The Monks has died following a heart attack and brain injury.

We would like to send our heartfelt condolences out to all who knew him and all those who loved the music he made.
As Monks fans, we know he is irreplaceable. Having met him briefly at their Dirty Water Club show in London in 2006, we know that he was a warm, generous and funny man who was so proud of what his band had achieved and that they were finally getting the recognition they deserved.

Dave, you will be sorely missed.

THE LONDON DIRTHOLE COMPANY

He was a man who possessed great joy in his music and his life, we can only salute one of the true musical revolutionaries who has passed this gift on to us....use it wisely.
