The Scoop: The Moto-Gators Band: The Moto-Gators are an instrumental (as in no vocals, not as in important) band. They play R&B, Buddy Holly/Bobby Fuller rock & roll, surf music, etc. to the best of their abilities.
Another Saturday Night Band: Another Saturday Night is a new five-piece rock'n'roll band in the purest sense. Honing the group's own brand of "pinky-rock", the band plays high-energy, soul inflected music you can go wild to and forget about your worries for awhile.
DJ Rob Sheffield: Rob Sheffield is a music journalist who lives in Greenpoint. He is the author of Love is a Mix Tape, which has been published in Swedish, Italian, French, German, Russian, Japanese, and other languages he can't read.
DJ Duane Harriot: Duane Harriot is a founding resident of the hugely-popular Negroclash party at NYC's APT, and also spins at a number of esteemed nightlife destinations in the US and abroad.
DJ Don Stahl: Don Stahl, of Manhattan, New York City is a writer, comedian, bartender and DJ.
Comedian Andrew Secunda: Andrew Secunda performs improvisation weekly in the hit show Assssscat and with the critically acclaimed Stepfathers at UCB. Andrew wrote for "Late Night with Conan O'Braien," where he was nominated for two Emmy's and won two Writer's Guild Awards. He has also written for Saturday night live, Human Giant, and developed comedies for HBO, NBC, UPN, and CBS. He will appear this fall on HBO in "Flight of the Conchords" and in the Demetri Martin show on Comedy Central. Most notably, his face can be found on Marvel's Doctor Doom figure.
Comedian Kate Hess: Kate Hess recently wrapped up a run at UCB playing Bristol Palin in the "Palin Family All Star Revue and Election Spectacular" which she also wrote. Her sketch comedy show "We Kate Shelly" ran for six months at UCB and was called "outrageously inventive" by Comedysmack.com. She has performed Off Broadway with MCC, The Culture Project, The Lincoln Center Festival, HERE, The Kraine, Manhattan Theater Source, Bakerloo Theater Project and many others. She has also appeared in the television show "Love, INC." and played Daphne in the long running hit "Spooky Dog and the Teen-Age Gang Mysteries," a partially improvised spoof of Scooby Doo. She can be seen doing improv and sketch around town and is currently in the hit show "Gravid Water" at UCB.
