Patricia Krebs is a thirty-two year old multimedia artist, who grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina and graduated with degrees of "Art Professor" and "Contemporary Visual Arts." She moved to Los Angeles seven years ago.
Over the last twelve years, Krebs has had the chance to work in collaboration with artists, writers, actors, artisans, musicians and educators on many projects. Krebs likes all things hand-made. Any "useless" object can be inspirational and is transformed in her hands. Outside of her "recycled" art works, she experiments with re-inventing the clothing and jewelry she wears and the furniture she uses in her home.
In her work, whatever the medium, Krebs talks about life: the complexity of humanity, the connections within ourselves, between each other, to the Earth. Krebs' favorite figure for her metaphors is the woman's body. So, in her work, we can see a woman's body as the Earth, as a tree, as a symbol for an idea, or just reflecting emotion.
Krebs is now working on a new series of female characters called "Guardianas", who are strong protectors of the earthly realm but can also inspire our dreams in a playful, even mischievous, way.
