Paris! Got into town early and the owner of the bar, Chris, pointed me in the only direction to go in that part of the city. The famous cemetery where Mr. James Morrison is buried. Yeah, I saw his grave. Oscar Wilde too. Other famous people too, but the place is huge and I neglected to get a map. Mozart is there, I think. It was a suprisingly emotional experience. Even with all the tourists with McDonalds bags and iPods.

Had a great show. Fuck, was it cool. The only show on the tour where I got to choose who I played with. Man, did I score. It's complicated how we met, but let me say that Marie Darling is absolutely incredible. What talent! Very rarely am I so impressed and humbled by a musician. She had the audience entranced with her voice and ukulele. Unbelievable. Then I had to get up there with my dumb ass and play my stupid songs. Damn, that was hard. I didn't do too bad. Chris said I can come back to his bar anytime I want. I wish it was easier because it's a special place and he's a genuine man. I was touched by him. I got to meet Damien Almar who helped me out a bunch with contacts for no reason but he liked my music. Sweet guy. Brought a nice veggie pasta dish we all shared, family style. It was through him I met Nicolas, the promoter. Another really cool guy. Slept at his flat and he had a hot waffle for me in the morning. What a night. I'm in love with the people I met and that mystical city that is Paris. I shall return. Fuckers.
Marie, Darling!!

Dude you'd BETTER return or I'll fly all the way to Portland to kick your ass!

I was honored to share the bill with you and loveloveloved seeing you play your songs (don't ever serve any of that self-deprecating shit again! you rock!); ads don't lie, INTENSE folk it is. And sorry I compared you to Alice in Chains and Tool, comparisons suck but I couldn't help having these in mind (and coming from me they're huge compliments if you're wondering).

Missing you already! Have fun on the rest of the tour!

Marie.
