Poland, you are lovers. Played the last show on my tour in Chorzow. Cool place. Kind of their Whiskey A Go-Go. A place called Lesniczowka, famous for being where several legendary Polish bands got their start. Beautiful place with a warm, loving vibe that is helped along by a big roaring fire at one end of the roomy club. The place is tucked up in the forest. Very quaint and picturesque. Played with the local band, Heartsgarage. Popular, tight band. Dudes are cool. Talented too! Had some great conversation with them before the show, learning more about Polish culture. I played a very emotional set. Couldn't help getting choked up for most of it. (It's hard to cry and sing at the same time.) I didn't want the tour to end. Ever. Plus, the crowd was just awesome. A bunch of people showed up from my Zabrze show that were there or heard about it from friends. Very touching. All of them were sitting in rapt silence, totally fixed on what I was doing. I just couldn't stop myself from being overcome with sadness. Sadness isn't really the right word but I can't figure out right now what it was. I decided that I love Poland. The people there are the best. I will return. Promise.
