Jesus, it's been a long time since I posted a blog entry, but nevertheless here goes
This semester has been rough, but there's a light at the end of the tunnel. I've had to repeat Italian II which stressed the shit out of me. Ugh. Foreign Language as a requirement really sucks. As a result of it, I have to stay an extra semester to finish my final Italian class. There is a flip side to this however. Since I have to do only one class, and its at 12:20 everyday, I can practically work full-time while going to school. That's awesome.
I quit Mujabica. The band simply wasn't fun anymore and it ran its course with me. I gave Mike and Andrew my respects and wished them luck. Carly or *C-Bastian* or whatever, and I will probably never talk to each other again, which is fine. This is the main reason why I left. I'm not into egocentric people. Either way, I don't feel bitter towards any of them and I wish them luck.
The Pax Romana is kickstarting in the summer of next year in Chicago. I can't wait. It's been a year and a half since The Pax Romana played it's last show in Gainesville. It was a great show to end on at the time, but sadly the timing was bad and we parted ways. I'm excited though because I'll be writing songs with Mike again. I enjoy that. I get musical diarrhea when we work together. Sorry for the visual, but it's the best way I can physically say it. Mujabica stalled me and frustrated me. I couldn't be myself without feeling fake or phony. I can't do that. There's a famous quote, "It is better to be hated for the things you love than to be loved for things you hate." Honestly prevails over phoniness and image-laden crap.
Rachel and I are doing well. I'm heading down to Fort Lauderdale this Christmas to spend it with her and her family. It's been a long and exhaustful year for both of us and going home for the holidays will be great. Three weeks of nothing but relaxation and enjoyment, beaches and christmas trees and the works. It's going to be badass. We'll see all of our friends and everything. The semester ends in two weeks and it can't come fast enough.
If you never received a copy of The Pax Romana's album "Force Majeure," we posted it on the myspace page to download at:

The quality of the recording sucks because *Dick Hair Mike*, the guy who recorded it, didn't do that great a job, because he was stoned about 80% of the time we worked with him. Oh well. We are going to find new musicians in Chicago and recut most of the songs. Stay tuned for more updates! Until next time, have a good one.
