a few of my favorite things
Body: these are a few of my favorite things, in no particular order:

antique books; especially about history and also marketing/commercial arts, specifically anything from the roaring 20s; the birth or modernism and art deco.

old US and eoropean maps, particularly of old countries that no longer exit (did you know Texas used to be a country?)

odd inventions. old folk remedies (did you know coca cola used to actually contain trace amounts of cocaine? and they fed it to kids in the 1800s before child labor laws went into effect (sad but true)

reference books galore: i have a great collection of odd reference books; my favorite is the us book of popular slang circa appr. 1948 (millions upon millions of slang words... amazing...)

space: especially our solar system. and more...

the earth. isnt really amazing were here doing our thing? is it all just a big long dream someone is having? nobody knows.

psychology: my dad was a psychologist; my best friend ever. i miss him greatly. he was old schoool fruedian. im relatively newer school jungian. i like concept books that entwine psychology, philosophy, spirituality, humanity, sociology, and happenstance. read rollo may sometime if you are like minded; fascinating read...

people watching: i dont participate so much, but i do enjoy peole watching; especially body language. non verbal communications. it's like a secret code i dont understand.

nature: it just is so forward moving. it never stops. uncontrollable. elastic. fluctuating.

music: the oldest language of all. it's so deeply entwined in the human mind, i bet you cant find one person in the world who hates all music. it's connected with our pre-modern man minds, a hold out from our past ancestors, making it all the more mysterious. music is connected to the following parts of the brain: hearing, touch, sight, feelings, cognitive thought, subconciousness, dextrity, and combines all of the above; incredible.

love: a mystery if there ever was one. maybe love is God. I think maybe so.
but that's just me...
