Hello Blog readers, young and old, Scott (‘Barter Bass’) here. As a band we are always trying to juggle our various roles, so this week I figured I’d let Nicole have a rest from Blog writing. So here we are, the Barter Bass Blog begins!

Some may or may not know that I am a (kind of) recent addition to the line up. All I can say is that it’s been such an amazing last few months. It seems so strange thinking that it was during the summer that I got the call from Howie. We really are a solid, unstoppable unit at the moment and sometimes I forget that I wasn’t around during the creation of most of the set! Well now I’ve helped out with a few new tunes so I feel like I’m not just retreading old ground, but I’m also really helping us blaze a trail forward into the vast unknown.
(To think I used to be so civilised with my public performances of music, swinging with Jazz Bands in restaurants. Now I’m wearing War-Paint, Turning my Amp up to 11, doing Power-Lunges and Thrusting my way across various stages around the country!! God its FUN! )

That’s more than enough about me – on to more general band news. We have got a brilliant weekend ahead of us. Friday 23rd we are heading to The Isle of Wight (Wight Rocks!), Saturday 24th is Mr Wolf’s in Bristol, and then Sunday 25th is Belushi’s in Bath (OXJAM). All we can say is BRING IT ON! We may even be in the mood to unleash some new material, so if you’re thinking about coming down to one of these gigs, make sure you do...

We have also been polishing up our web presence quite a bit. We have a new YouTube Channel - youtube.com/nicolefermie – It features a recent performance of ‘Believe’, Live at Tim Oliver’s Birthday Bash. More will be coming soon so do subscribe if you have a YouTube account.
FaceBook is a constant evolution as the options keep opening up. I believe that we have our own personal pages, a Nicole Fermie Group, and now, drum roll please, a proper FaceBook Band Page!! If you’re a fan, and you’re on FaceBook, then why not become a FaceBook Fan!?
Our MySpace has also been treated to extraordinary amounts of Tender Loving Care recently with updated fonts/artwork to match our forthcoming ALBUM.
