it's an exciting year for the Tornadoes featuring Jacqueline Krain! We started off at the Blue Band's New Year's Eve party at the Hotel Fort Des Moines...fun venue with lots of musicians and fans. Shortly after, we settled into the basement to cut some new demo tunes, all featuring Jacqueline Krain's amazing vocals (you can hear three of them on this site).

Last week, we returned to Gus' for a successful night with lots of people dancing and singing along...even a conga line at one point snaking its way through the big pool room and through the bar.

Coming up, we return to the Chrome Horse in Cedar Rapids on Feb. 17...expecting a big crowd from the regulars plus a bunch of Jacqueline's CR pals. Don't miss it! If you haven't heard us in awhile, we're debuting a few new tunes featuring Jacqueline's vocals.

This spring, we're playing for swing dance clubs at Iowa and Cornell. Those dancers are something to watch and it's hard to believe how many different ways a guy can twirl his partner and still have her land on her feet in one piece. The UI club opens to the public, so that's something else to check out.

Into the summer, we're returning to a side stage at the IC Jazz Fest, for the first time in a few years. What a time that'll be, right on the streets of Iowa City. And shortly after, we head down to Ottumwa to play outdoors once again.

Look for more gigs to fill in as winter winds down and spring...um...springs.

We should add that we've added a spin-off group - Blue Midnight - for smaller venues. It's a sit-down thing from Dan, Jim & Bob and a more acoustic feel. Watch for Blue Midnight at Tuscan Moon in Kalona this March.

Until you can stop by an upcoming gig, enjoy the three new tunes we've put up here for your listening pleasure.
