When you start a band there are usually a few things you want to achieve, and more often than not you set your sights quite low - you might want to play a gig at a venue that has monitors, or one day be asked if you'd like to put your girlfriend on the guestlist. Happily, after three gigs Heck have achieved all this (Clwb has monitors and in Bristol we got Mark from Attack and Defend and his missus in for nothing).

However. Supporting one of the reasons you got into music in the first place is setting your sights quite high if you ask me, but The Fall certainly come under that category. I personally can't wait - saying hello to Mark E Smith, him calling me 'a cunt' back, singing along to Hit The North and Cruiser's Creek, doing my customary pre-gig puke in the plush surroundings of The Point, and being able to satisfy my post gig hunger in one of the bay's many fine restaurants ('hey, we just supported The Fall - let's go and eat some Dim Sum! Wooh!' etc.)
