When I was in my early teens,
I was visited by a 'Shadow Person'
a being that was made up of energy?or nothing at all.
It was simply a shadow man
I woke from a dream
to this being, sitting across from me in my red chair.

It saw me.. It saw me looking at it.

My awareness of the being must have startled it, because he got up and ran out of my room.
Right through my door. I ran out of my room and chased after it..

Vanished
Just like out of a movie

....And just like the movies, nobody believes the kid.


Years later, I started talking about this, and a friend of mine suggested that I speak with a psychic that she knew. I spoke to this lady about the shadow man, blabbing on and on about that, and other mystical experiences I've had. She told me all types of things about what it all could have been, possibly ''UFO'' as she said.  

THAT NIGHT...

I don't know if my third eye was open after my chat with the psychic or what, but as I started to drift into sleep, I had a clear case of what you'd call an ''out-of-body experience''.
I literally, floated out of my physical body and swam around my room, looking down at my sleeping body. It happened really quickly, the feeling became so overwhelming that I HAD to return.


Ever since, I've had crazy experiences with consciousness. Lucid dreams, Meditation, Sleep paralysis, experimentation with psychedelics, etc.

I honestly can't remember how or when I heard about DMT. The one thing I kept hearing was that, along with Ayahusca (which also contains DMT) it was the highest form of psychedelic. I'd hear all types of things..

For so many reasons, this seemed like the answer to why I've ever wanted to do psychedelics in the first place, minus the alien rape.

Some of my friends had done it, and I was surprised by how many people were talking about, and trying this ''Natural Psychedelic made in our brain'' that could possibly be the gateway to spirit travel. So I continued to have the conversation about it, and began researching, sat with people and talked about their experiences, and of course read Dr. Rick Strassman's book 'DMT: The Spirit Molecule', and eventually I began asking people where I could find this rare and sacred 'drug'.

Let me tell you from experience, the universe REALLY does give you what you put out...

I still don't know what the correct method is..
Or if there is one.

Reading through forums online, people have talked about various smoke tools (glass bottles, light bulbs, crack pipes), but I just decided to go with the tried and true classic, the bong *without water*.
i just put a whole bunch of the DMT on a pile of ash at the bottom of my bowl
and a lil layer of ash/weed on top.

Deciding to follow through with this was the hardest part of the entire trip. Venturing into the unknown.. What would I see?, WHO would I see?, would my life flash before my eyes? would I meet the creator? or the elves who are dying to show me their machines?

I let the Linda Perhacks tune play out until it was near the end of the song.

Flicked the lighter, a few times...

remembering what Take, and Terrance Mckenna said, ''It's the 3rd hit...''

Then..

1st big hit..exhaled a little early, because i was so excited/nervous

2nd hit held it... started to see the room dance...In the same way you would on a bunch of mushrooms/acid. Swirly and majestic...


Was determined to do the big final hit... *at this point * Radiohead's ''Pyramid song'' played.

3rd hit..hugee and held it...when i finally did release, I focused on my heart beat,I could hear it, Sam took the bong from me, eventually my heart felt like it stopped, like I had died ..but it was OK, everything was fine..There was no pain, no fear. It felt natural, and beautiful, slipping away...

Leaving my body.

Feeling weightless, not connected to 'me', 'my' apartment, 'my' world. I felt like a free floating spirit.

everything quickly slipped away from me like ultra-fast flowing Ink. Reality was broken down into vertical lines, and stripped away. I felt swallowed by the universe, and it felt good! the imagery changed so rapidly, beautiful colors and images I could have never imagined, and just when I thought I could make some sense of what I was seeing, the scenes changed into totally different places/planes.

Things were so overwhelming, amazing and fast, it was hard to be afraid.
I was forced to be in awe.

An amazing roller coaster, of images, patterns, and geometry. It seemed at one point I felt the presence of beings communicating with me, In the same way Id feel it in sleep paralysis states. I asked,  'What are you saying?' 'what are you trying to tell me?', it was all moving so fast, too fast to grasp. Any worries or fears that I had about ANYTHING would quickly be replaced with overwhelming feelings of love and warmth. It felt like the universe hugged me and held me tight. Despite the chaos, there was nothing to fear, this is a place of loving energy.

the curtain pulled back slowly into some kind of crazy cartoon world that was just so vibrant and wacky, colors swirling, inkblot world, crazy color pattern world, bright color dot world.
Bugs bunny could live here.
Sam said I busted into hysterics.

Id get little doses of the real world, the music would come in and out, Thom Yorke's voice and the strings of Pyramid song would come through brilliantly and heavily reverberated. The familiar sounds helped me come back to this plane, visions of Sam (seeing his spirit, seeing him change into a weird Homer Simpson-like face with his eyes popping out of his head). Feeling the pillow behind my head.

I was coming back now.

the ceiling started to reveal the 'ancient language'. With some interesting reptilian-like characters within it. I'd close my eyes and open them, the world was changing and each time id blink the world started to look more and more of a familiar place,but that same place you've see on a head full of acid.

I extended out my hand to sam, it was nice to feel again.

Came back down with this fresh feeling, like my brain had been cleared of cobwebs and dust.

It was by far the most incredible experience I've ever had.
Even though I've had a bit of a 'breakthrough', I'm sure I've barely scratched
the surface, especially in terms of the dose. If I ever do try it again, I'll try it in the darkness, and possibly outdoors, but I'll most likely try Ayahusca before doing DMT again.

No Elves, no ancients, no old friends/relatives, just a big hug and a greater understanding that when it all ends, its gonna be just fine.
