Hollywood, CA, March 5, 2009 – Annodam Films will be releasing the feature film “BLANK” from writer director Rick L. Winters on March 21, 2009 making it available on all platforms, DVD, online streaming and for FREE on all the Torrent sites for everyone to enjoy.

It is our concept that if people like the movie they will go back and make a donation at
www.blank-movie.com, or one of our other sites, thus allowing us to make another film and release it in the same manner.  Basically the consumer pays what they think the film was worth to them.  They will also have the option to sign up for a newsletter for our next film.  In this newsletter there will be a username and password to a web forum so they can follow us through pre production, production and post production of our next film, a cool bonus for those who wish to follow the filmmaking journey from beginning to end first hand.  After the end credits of the movie the audience will get to see a trailer for one of the next feature films we are planning to film and release Peer to Peer.

After several distribution offers Rick L. Winters decided the best coverage for the film would be through self distribution and peer to peer networks.  He believes that the art of film should not be denied to anyone because of their financial status.  With the ever growing cost of going to the cinema, the future of film is in the home market through peer to peer distribution.

The thing that makes this film unique is that it is a co-op based concept where are the entire cast and crew worked on a deferred percentage of the films gross.  In other words, the cast and crew own a percentage of the films gross, so the profits are not going to Hollywood executives but instead into the pockets of the filmmakers themselves.  Again the objective is to use profits from this film to make another movie and release it in the same manner.  No one should have to pay for a film they did not like.  No one should be denied the right to enjoy the art of film.

In the past Hollywood has dictated what we all see and how we see it but all that is about to change with the upcoming revolution of how film and media is distributed peer to peer.  I have seen firsthand the greed that lurks in the Hollywood corporate circles.  After the release of my first film and the success it created for the distribution company’s pocket book, leaving the cast and crew wondering why a distribution company was making all the money from a film they created.

This time around the fate of the cast and crew getting paid is in the hands of the audience who watch the film.  No Hollywood bank accounts being filled to turn out more crappy remakes.  Instead the bank accounts of the filmmakers will be filled so that we can bring you our next film.

Through the release of my film with the Torrent and Peer to Peer I am hoping to bring awareness to the benefit of Peer to Peer networks and to show that the future is here. The only difference is that this time the power is in the hands of the viewer where it should have been the whole time.
