First off, the only deserted island I want to be on is the one on LOST. However, that was not the question the radio host asked me on Homegrown last week.

So, it is taking me a while to answer this question.

While cleaning off my old vinyl ...which by the way the question prompted me FIX the broken record player, I have begun making this decision...SLOWLY. I can't believe she asked such tough, thought-inducing, coma-provoking questions and expected us to come up with intelligent and meaningful answers on the spot. I am a thinker. I like to think. I like to be real and give honest answers. This cannot be done when your mind is consumed with other thoughts...such as..."don't screw up that new arrangement we just changed in that new song which you can't even remember the name of needless to say the lyrics too, what key is that in anyway, and how may times through the chorus????"

Winnie, I love you. You just stumped me. I am trying to redeem myself.

WE:RE JUST TWO LOST SOULS SWIMMING IN A FISHBOWL YEAR AFTER YEAR. RUNNING OVER THE SAME OLD GROUND WHAT HAVE WE FOUND? THE SAME OLD FEARS?

So, I am leaning towards this Pink Floyd record as my first choice. It may drive me crazy, but at least I will be a diamond in my own mind. seems appropriate. And there is enough soundscaping that I could theoretically lie in the sand and stare at the universe above me and transcend my overwhelmingly depressing situation. I assume I am to be ALONE on this island. Which means that I will have a lot of time to get spiritual with it.
