Has McCain lost the election? I certainly hope so.

Just a couple of hours ago the McCain campaign announced his Vice Presidential running mate, Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin, in the most obvious and brazen ploy yet to trick Hilary Clinton supporters into merely voting for a woman. This cannot work because what McCain doesn't know is that women are smarter than that.

I recently submitted a blog post to CNN.com that was either not published or revised, and the crux of my message was that Democrats must now ATTACK! This absurd move on the part of the GOP cannot succeed. If Hilary supporters want to vote for McCain because they think this election is merely about gender or identity rather than about issues, character and merit, then good riddance.
