It's been too long since we were together, but we were reunited the week before last. Mondo Burrito and I had a long term relationship before I moved to Detroit, but thankfully our feelings for each other have not diminished over time.

The comforting fact that the brown rice, Spanish rice, and bean selections are 100% vegetarian drew me back into its doors as if I had never left. And the enormous proportions of the meals anchored me solidly into my seat until our date was done.

I was three-quarters of the way through my "Mondo Nachos" before I even noticed that the bar that once adorned the wall in the eating area had been removed. Even though the configuration had changed, this Santa Clara monument still felt like home.

I slurped away at the last drops of my horchata and left thinking, "Baby, how did I ever let you slip away? Let's not make the same mistake again."
