ben voilà ils jouent à Freiburg donc jeudi. Tiens je vois que Adolescent jouent le 9 aout à Aarschot gratos, pas mal..

okay, j'imprime la lettre de l'organisateur à Ieper, je comprend maintenant pourquoi il voulait jouer à Liege avec sont groupe dans l'intention louable de donner son cachet au concert de SNFU à Ieper, histoire de limiter leur (supposée) perte de publique.
Dommage qu'on puisse conclure des dates exclusives valable d'un bout à l'autre du pays (3 heures de train). Et dommage qu'on conclue des deals si élevé qu'il faille garantir l'exclusivité de la date...

Hello,

I'm sending you this mail(in english because it's easier for me to express how I feel about the whole thing)
I don't know you and probably never met you but the fact that your spreading such negative things about me and my band on the internet tells me that probably you don't actually know how the whole situation is?

first of all we booked SNFU with the vortn vis and not The Ignored as a band..so that means that the shitworkers(people that keep the vortn alive)have their say in this whole situation..
seondly the manager(benny)promised us that the show in Ypres would be the one and only show this summer(we have an exclusive contract..)
than he asks us if he can do another gig in Belgium in the same month a last minute show which would be in Liège.

we told him that it would be very hard for us to cover the costs if there was another show in the same month,we wouldn't have done this show with the vortn vis if we knew there was another Belgian show in the same month..

I am pretty sure if you had an exclusive contract you would have done the same thing if you're honest?

and about the whole thing that we wanted to play in Liège,this is true only because this was a way to use the money from the show in Liège to support the show in Ypres because the band didn't want to lower their price(which I completely understand..)

I hope you understand our situation here in the vortn vis,we sure understand your first reaction but I hope you can clear this out and stop spreading negative things about our band..and Ypres or vortn vis.

I also hope to meet you so I can have a conversation with you.

You must understand that if Benny(the manager)never told us to do this one and only show in Ypres and make us this contract this problems wouldn't be what they were.


I hope everything is cleared out,because if you know the vortn vis(it's a small pub and we don't have much cash or subsidies it's a DIY-pub as you probably know and it is run by volunteers who,which I understand,want to play it safe on this show because they put a lot of money in it and there is a very limited capacity so they can use everyone to support the show.

I truly hope you understand us,we never had the intention to be arrogant we only reacted like everyone would do with an signed exclusive contract.

Hopefully you come down to the vortn vis on the 30th..

there will be 100free beers to make up the arrogance we had here with the vortn vis.
