Okay here's the deal. We're going to be doing what has been dubbed the Powerspace Powerpush. This is an important opportunity for us to get a good head start on promoting as a team. DaCuteCrew (Cute Is What We Aim For street team) did something like this before they released their album. It was really successful. So here's the deal if you're still interested.
-You listen to powerspace every time you turn on the computer. It's so important that you do this.
- Start ASAP! -Your homepage should be set to their purevolume. Then you'll never forget to turn it on.
-I also suggest multiple windows, if you have tabs on your explorer, those are always helpful. You ask how to run multiple windows? Listen to one and mute the others. Or mute them all and listen to something else (but why would you want to listen to anything else? :p). There's really no excuse not to do it.
- Refresh the page. For some reason it's changed from the past but it won't log plays if you don't refresh the page every time.
- Spread the news!
- Don't do it all by yourself. Get friends to help out. Send them the link and ask them to listen, even just once all the way through, though any help if wonderful. Those plays are crucial to the success of this project. Post the link in your LJ's, myspace, facebook, whatever else you may have.
- Sit back. Relax. Listen to powerspace. And watch the plays as well as their ranking rise.
Just so you know, it won't be in vain I can promise, cross my heart and hope to die. Don't listen to others that tell you it's stupid because they have no idea how much of a difference this can make in the success of Powerspace. And it's so rewarding to know that you had a part in it. This could have a lasting impact. I'm not even kidding. Higher CD sales. More hits on Purevolume (they'll be on the front page with enough plays so people will get curious). Later mentions in AP magazines (yes the CIWWAF push was mentioned in the November '06 issue). So on and so forth.
Goal: 1,000,000 plays by June. We can do it if we can get help and organize.
