As most of you know, this past Tuesday was the release date of the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. I actually pre-ordered my copy several weeks ago and I've been playing non-stop since I got it. It didn't take me long to finish the single player campaign. Now, I'm working on completing the special ops with all of my friends.

Overall, despite some of the negative feedback I've been reading on some of my favorite gaming forums, I think the game's amazing. The single player campaign was a little too short, but otherwise, I don't have many complaints. One major complaint that I do have is that I can't play with more than 17 other players (9-on-9). It makes me long for the days of the Battlefield games when my friends and I would engage in massive virtual battles for hours at a time. After experiencing that, 9-on-9 just doesn't seem quite as epic.

So what do all of you think about the game so far? Like it? Don't like it? Console or PC? What do you like most? Any major complaints?

My 360 decided that it wanted the red ring of death only five days before the game came out, which i pre-ordered. As of now it lies here on my desk until I can mooch an xbox from a friend or microsoft returns mine to me. But everyone is reminding me and telling me how amazing it is haha

i finished the single player already but didnt think it lived up to the Original Modern warfare story-wise

right now we are going through the spec ops missions and playing a little multiplayer here and there with school and such

Yes, the single player aspect of the game is amazing! So far i'm liking it on console. Now for the PC version; they brought matchmaking to it and also there is no server browser/dedicated servers support. Unless Infinity Ward can pull off an update which incorporates those features, I'm holding off on the PC version.

I personally haven't played it but most of my friends have. its supposed to be great I'm probably going to get it in a few mounths on steam on a 50% off weekend. I don't care about the decrease player amount because its one of those games I don't care about the player count. It doesn't have vehicles so and the maps are small so its made for small skirmishes. I wish there were dedicated servers but that's not going to stop me from buying it. I'm also pissed off that they have no mod support and plan to sell overpriced dlc instead. It seem like a lot of fun if you get a friend to play spec ops mode though.
overall seems very promising not counting theses complaints

No dedicated servers for PC! Other than that it was great story and all. I have to say the ending shouldn't have been the ending it should of went on. Well thats how we know Cod:MW3 is coming out in 2-3 years

Completely destroyed the PC version... no dedicated servers, no leaning, horrible lag in MP, bad optimization...

That being said, the gameplay isn't too bad.

Doesn't look much better than COD4 at all, yet i get about 200 fps in cod4 and about 20-30 in MW2.
How does that work?

radeon hd4870
phenom II X4 945 @ 3.0ghz.
4gb 1066mhz OCZ

I wouldn't recommend buying the pc version, complete waste of $60.

PC version is a lag fest online, so much potential. Not balanced for lean........

Played the pc version, but with the single player being the pc versions only good point it isn't worth the money.  I am sure something will come out that will be more worth saving your $60 on.
