Boskone was a small, but fun convention and I attended some interesting panels, including one on "stories that changed everything," and another on extra-solar planets by Dr. Seti, the scientist-singer-songwriter. The other day we finally got to see THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON. It was a very impressive film visually and there was a lot to it in terms of human relationships. I'm curious now to read the original story by F. Scott Fitzgerald. It was a short story and in morphing to a 3 hour film obviously a lot was added, but the filmmakers did a very good job, from what I can tell. Meanwhile I'm about halfway through THE ADVENTURES OF KAVALIER & KLAY by Michael Chabon and thoroughly enjoying it. It's about the 1930's and the comic book industry among other things. I don't usually like to read 600 page bug-crushers, but this is an exception.
