Don't Scare The Dog recently wrapped up the 2nd Annual DSTD Dinner and Planning Convention at LauberLand, where we talked about what 2009 may have in store for us, and also to reflect back on 2008 as well. Kelly was kind enough to make a batch of her genuine Creole-style Red Beans & Rice. (Thanks, Kelly!) After dinner, the four band members went out to the studio and discussed past, present and future issues concerning DSTD. We concluded we were basically happy with the way things were going with the exception of the number and quality of gigs we played in 2008. Lonnie has now busted out his whip of musical torture and started a DSTD makeover frenzy, including a new biker/USA-friendly logo/website design, an updated 4-song audio demo (which we recently completed at LauberLand) and some added tunes to the set list that will make 2009 our most "marketable" year ever. So far it's really paying off, as we have booked shows into June already, thanks to Lonnie and his dramatic burst of energy. We are now re-vamping the MySpace site and adding the new logo that Larry made. Bill is excited about learning to play some of his favorite southern rock tunes, too! Looks like 2009 just may be the best year yet for DSTD, so come on out and ride the wave with us...the real reason we do this is for fans, friends and family that support us, and, of course, for the music.
