I just got back from the local pub, where my friends and neighbors all stood around the tv screens watching the results come in. I've had a few drinks, and although I try to avoid drunken blogging, thought I'd share. . .

I wandered over to a screen, just as CNN projected Obama the winner. "Obama is elected President!!!" I slammed down my beer and began clapping, just as the entire bar erupted in applause. People were clapping, screaming, hugging, crying, and after all that has happened in the past 2 years, it was so surreal, it was overwhelming.

As McCain made his speech, effectively conceding the election, someone in the bar shushed loudly and the whole room went silent. Many looked around to catch the reactions of others in the bar, which was all smiles and tears at that point.

I'm at a loss for words.

We. did. this. From the ground up, we worked our asses off and literally made our dream a reality.

Now is the time to celebrate!

We have done it! The world watched and we should all be proud.

Big thanks go to you, Joe. You were an early supporter that really carried the torch a long way. You have a deserved place in this historic moment.

Now, let us, as Americans, all prepare for a new day in this country. Gil Scot-Heron sang of "Winter In America" at the dawn of Reagan's presidency. Springtime starts tomorrow.

Joe my boy! Despite the polls and all of our hard work everyone is speechless, shocked, numb. I had no idea I would feel like this. I was pretty confident he was going to win yet I still break out in random clapping and shouts of YES YES YES throughout the day. I'm constantly on the brink of tears. It's just incredible and you better believe we made it happen.

Congrats to everyone!!!

From Obama's Presidential Announcement..."That's why this campaign can't be only about me. It must be about us--it must be about what we can do together...that beneath all the differences of race and region, faith and station. we are one people..."

I've been a supporter from the beginning.
This is just like delivering a baby after a 2 year pregnancy!

Kudos & Kudos to you Joe, for all your hard work!
