I'd heard Cage the Elephant had got a shit load better since the first time I watched them at The Freebutt in Brighton earlier this year so I got in touch with their awesome guitarist Lincoln when I found out they were playing at the Concorde 2. He sorted me out with photo pass and everything so big thanks to him...
WHAT THE FUCK!? Within two minutes of them going on stage the crowd went ape shit, kids started killing themselves (almost) in the most ridiculous fashion i've ever seen and they didn't stop for the entire duration of the gig. I was impressed, I used to get filthy and go moshing back in the day but this was off the hook I havn't seen anything like it in a long while. You actually have to go and see this for yourself because although I'm not a great fan of the music itself its one hell of a show (but I did love there cover of The Passenger by Iggy Pop quite a lot). Matt the lead finished it off with an epic sized stage dive where I imagine he was almost eaten alive by the ravaging 13-15 year old girls taking up the majority of the first few rows as there parents watched on in disgrace (at a safe distance).
I took a bunch of photos for
MySpace Pix which you can see in my photos section on my profile so go check the carnage out for yourself...
