On September 29th I will be joined by Stefano Scodanibbio in at Musée Labenche in Brive-la-Gaillarde, France to play comprovisations of mine on the only piano Claude Debussy owned the last 14 years of his life. No one has ever recorded on this instrument, it is an incredible opportunity. The first half I will be playing late piano works of Debussy's that he most likely wrote on this piano. The second half Stefano will join me to perform process pieces that I have composed specifically for this piano and event.
* More about the piano and it's history at the bottom of this blog.

Just prior to this performance I will be playing some concerts with Waristerror Terroriswar, a quazi-punk band I lead in Italy. We are just releasing our first album on EdgetoneRecords/BurpRecordings called 'TheBrutalRealityOfModernBrutality'. We just finished recording our second album called 'Private Poverty'.
I have just recorded a VERY powerful album with Arrington deDionyso (Bass Carinet), Greg Skloff (Double Bass), and John Niekrasz (Drums) at the Silo in Portland. Much much thanks to Nicholas Taplin for engineering the album. He is an incredibly dedicated member of the musical diaspora!

In October/November I will be touring the states again. Unfortunately I am unable to do the entire 4KneesOfTheTurtleTour like last fall. I will mostly be in the middle of the country; Ohio, Michigan, Toronto (Canada), Illinois, Missouri, Texas, and Louisiana.
Thanks for reading...and go go go!

* This piano was found by the director of the museum in an antique store several years ago. She thought it was interesting and spent some time researching it. It turns out it was Debussy's, and when he died it went to his step-son, when he died it went to his daughter, and when she died it was inherited by her family doctor. In WWII the doctor who was Jewish had to flee Paris when the Nazi's stormed in and the piano sat for 60 years without anyone knowing the significance of it. It is a very interesting piano as well with a whole set of sympathetic strings above the normal set (Ailquot System), which really gives it an amazing shimmering quality. The concert is free and open to the public. If You are anywhere near Brive-la-Gaillarde at the end of September I think it will be a pretty worthwhile way to spend Your evening...
