well done. thanks for the information. music is SO powerful when it encompasses lyrics and issues that speak TRUTH! I love the idea of music mixed with consciousness raising and activism. Loved the video. Thanks.

Maybe its late at night and I'm simply cranky right now...or maybe I'm getting older in my idealistic ways...but this video/song seems like its pandering to the lowest common denominator of change here: anger. To blatently and blindly connect new construction to the death of Detroit just feels unreasonable and one-sided.

Invinscible, you're a great wordsmith, you truly are...but its real easy (and maybe even complacent) to rage against the machine by merely throwing verbal rocks.
Maybe your raps should incorporate both sides of the story instead of just the angry portion?

that's just my opinion.

wutup Sunell thanks for the comment and the compliments on my wordplay...i'm wondering have you watched all the way through? the point of the video is in the second half of interviews...the solution oriented community led sustainable projects and visions to rebuild Detroit in a way that doesn't displace residents. one thing locusts is NOT is protest with no alternative proposal. hope u got some rest lol.
MUCH RESPECT,
invinc

hmm, its a shame since these companies are such huge and  faceless entities which exploit the local governments in economically depressed cities like detroit, etc to basically liquidate properties back and forth to lower the value on whole square blocks  let alone the houses on which they stand.
these kinds of strageties  have been in place for years and years behind the scenes often in other countries.
 its a really sick joke.
lookup "rewilding of america" its pretty scary because they work these plans so slowly that you can live your whole life in these decaying surroundings and by the time you are old and tired is when they seem to come into fruition.. its the endgame...
