I could not agree more.  I have not been on myspace for months.  I realized that I was beginning to feel somewhat of "addiction" in a wierd way...and just stopped myself over the summer from much social networking at all.  I am now just taking a peek at myspace and saw your comments.  I plan to have this discussion with my students at the community college where I teach and counsel...

critical thinking skills seem to be really lacking for some young people....

I agree - it is crazy how addicted we are getting to technology. We need to force ourselves to take a technology vacation!
