I love my part time job. I really enjoy it! Though there are a couple of people I who I don't necessarily look forward to working with there are many more who I do. And I enjoy helping the customers. I always love helping people so working as a bookseller for a large bookstore chain is perfect.

There was a very lovely lady I helped the other night. She was looking for a travel book on the Philippines. We ended up having only one which she found while I was looking it up on the computer. Since the company I used to work for has a call center in Manila I asked her if her trip was work or vacation. Turned out she is adopting the most adorable little 5yr old girl! She showed me a picture and the child was beautiful. You could see that this woman was bursting with happiness, it was literally flowing out of her! She was alone, had to be no younger than 35 and there was no hint of a man in her life that would also be included in her new daughter's life. But she is so excited to have a new life revolving around this gorgeous child. I was awed by her and felt privileged to have helped her even if it was insignificant.

I hope to be where she is one day...
