This song "Burning Wood" was inspired by OPEC during the first oil crunch in the eighties.  Back then I played folk, country a little blue grass and wrote a few songs in that style.     

The song is based on real events and a disire to stay warm in the cold winter months.  I bought a Vermont Castings stove that could be converted to a coal burner which kept my wife and I warm all winter long for several years until we moved from the small cape in which we lived. 

I find myself once again stoking the fire and thought this may be a good time to release this song of mine that OPEC helped inspire!
