Clive really has got that Rev'd.Gary Davis style down, with some lovely interpretations old some old-timey fingerpickin' country blues on his 12 string guitars – Chickenbone John has now officially put his 12 string out to pasture after listening to Clive's immaculate playing. David Bristow was as ever laid back and mellow, with his unique blend of mellifluous vocals, jazzy guitar and authentic banjo, managing to bring a tear to the eye of more than one member of the audience with his version of ‘What a Wonderful World’, not perhaps an obvious choice for a Blues singer, but a great version nonetheless. In addition, it was great to see some real quality players in the room for the customary open mic session.
