In case you might be wondering what gear I use to perform and record, I thought I would include a blog entry with a complete list:
Custom handcrafted steel-string acoustic guitar with L.R. Baggs I-Beam internal pickup built by Bryan Gardner 2004; L.R. Baggs ParaAcoustic D.I. preamp; FMR Audio RNC 1773 compressor; Line 6 DL4 stereo delay with expression pedal; Radial JX2 Switchbone Pro A/B/Y/ box (for stereo separation); (2) modified Ernie Ball volume pedals: (2) Oberheim Echoplex Digital Pro Plus units, both updated with Loop IV software by Aurisis; Lexicon PCM 60 reverb; Mackie 1202 VLZ Pro mixer; Tascam CD-RW900 CD recorder; D'Addario medium guage strings; big, thick-ass Jim Dunlop guitar picks; Ebow; and a truly obscene amount of audio cables.
Please note that my recordings are 100% live in the studio; there are no overdubs of any kind, nor is any quantizing employed. All sounds are produced on the acoustic guitar.
Please note further that this gear list occasionally evolves depending on what I'm trying to do musically at any given time. Many thanks to Creed Maggiora at Skips Music, Sacramento and Dave Lynch at Guitar Workshop, Sacramento for equipment assistance.
