You may be wondering, what are those crazy Nettles up to NOW?
There's a few shows to tell you about! Catch the Nettles at the 2008 Fallen Firefighters benefit show on Sept. 27th... It will be held at Your Place bar/restaurant (outside- weather permitting) on Rt. 30 in Lancaster (near those crazy outlets). ANother show you shouldn't miss is at the Chameleon Lounge on Oct. 18th with Atlanta Georgia's GRINGO STAR! If you've never seen or heard Gringo Star, you need to see them in action! Those guys are the coolest and you'll never see anyone switch instruments so fast ever again!
The show will also feature Scranton's "And The Money Notes" with whom everyone is excited to see/hear as well!
Stinging Nettles have been hard at work recording Their full-length album! It's been hard work and more hard work is in store. When the record is done, They'll be sure to let you know.. and they'll let you know how you can purchase the cd. The Nettles will probably make the album available in a few formats... Digital download, compact disk & possibly a limited-edition cassette complete with hand-made, one-of-a-kind packaging. Now that may sound weird to you, but if you're like the guys in Stinging Nettles, you LOVE the sound of tape. Now, cassettes aren't as nice as Reel-to-Reel, but hey... who's gonna complain!
Anyway, the band will get you all the details ASAP... and check the pics link to see photos from recent recording sessions.
In other news, John is going to be posting some of his earlier paintings on e-bay... cleaning house, it seems. From what he says, there are 3 works and each will be available separately for bids in the next month or so. Details to follow.
A Stinging Nettles music video is on its way! The boys are making plans to film and produce their own video, showing off even more of their seemingly endless creativity! Look for that around the time of the release of the album.
Some of you have been asking when new t-shirts, stickers and buttons will be available. The answer to that question is: New buttons are available NOW... $1 each... two different designs.... very cool accessory for your denim jacket! The sticker shipment is due to arrive any day now! We found a few of the old t-shirt designs.. in limited sizes, but we have new shirts on the way... as soon as that crazy loon, John, gets his act together and designs something.
