For those of you who don't know I have been working the last few months on tracking my own CD of music. It's looking like an 8 song, 40 minute LP. All songs are written, arranged, and produced by me. I have always been part of a songwriting group in the past, never went solo. This has been an interesting adventure so far.

Even though there are a lot of styles and genres that I look forward to focusing on in the future, this CD stays close to home. I consider the music a collection of "sophisticated dance tunes". All instrumental, Bs Gtr Drms Keys Sax Aux Perc. I have friends which whom I have played in Boston area bands helping me out with this recording, whether it be playing, engineering, or both. All the bass, keys, and drums for the recording are done. Sax, aux perc, and the remainder of the guitar work is to be laid down in the next few weeks. I'm hoping to have it mastered by mid-April.

The name of the project is JK & The Servomatics. Back in upstate new york alot of people call me JK to disguish me from my dad, John G Servo. I was reluctant to self title the project as I feel like this music doesn't define me as a musician, it's only one of the things I do. I am still up in the air concerning the CD title.

I hope to have some raw audio on the myspace in the next few weeks. I'm also hoping to start a JK & The Servomatics myspace page so friend me if you see it.
