Middle Finger Of The Apocalypse

(I can ride my bike with no handlebars...)

If all goes right, which things seem to be doing...
My last day of school will be July 15th.

Graduation is July 17th, but I haven't decided if I'm going.

It's a waste of time.

Give me my fucking diploma, no more wasting time on your bullshit system.

Either way, I should of dropped out at fifteen...
With my mom's permission I could have.

I would of gotten my GED, then a higher paying job as soon as possible.

And I would start community college much sooner.

Then I would start a University two years later sooner.

So, here I am... 18 years old, $50 cash and a $750 car to my name...
Struggling to figure out how to begin college.

I don't want to take out any loans.

Trying to start life.

Graduating with a 1.6 GPA.

(I think)

Well... For those who still think the dropping out idea is stupid, ponder this:

I have taken 62 classes in high school.

I have had a good attendance record.

I know it's my own bad habits, but the fact that I knew ways around it,
And everybody tells me against them, is stupid.

You all need to learn to talk for yourself,
Because I'm sure it's probably the best path for you.

But you only need to take 44 classes to graduate high school at 22 credits.

So that's 18 classes that have been unnecessary.

That's much more than 1,080 hours longer spent in high school that people who have never failed.

Which is 140+% of high school if 100% was a regular 44 classes, 22 credits.

That's also 3,060 hours spent in regualar school that could have been avoided.

That comes out to a whopping 4,140+ hours.

That can also be shown as more than 172 FULL (24-Hour) days.

Also, let me say this...

My mom dropped out of high school. She has attended Washington University of St. Louis, paid for by her work, and is on the executive level of Commerce Bank. They send her on jets for business meetings all over, Kansas City, Florida, etc. She also has her own home business.

My dad finished high school, and dropped out of college. He owns his own carpentry business and is currently living in a 1.3 million dollar house. It'd be worth a ton more but the location is bad. It's 7,500 square feet, and four stories total (one is a basement).

"I know how to run the business... And I can make you wanna buy a product. Movers, shakers, and producers... Me and my friends understand the future. I see the strings that control the system. I can do anything with no assistance."

So... Thing is, talk about what you know... Don't give advice unless you've been there... And quit being a fucking sheep to the system.

I'm finished with high school, the "best" way. I feel sick and degraded.

I know what you mean man. You could be so much farther along in life right now without your diploma. I feel the same way. People think they know what they're saying when they tell you to stay in school, but the same system can't work for everyone. It just cant.

I wish I could have dropped out last year. But since next year will be my junior year, no point in dropping out now that I've gone this far. The school system is bullshit. Fuck.

Let me say this...the best thing about free will, is the empowerment to make your own decisions...it can also be the worst thing about it. Your mind works in mysterious ways, I am even amazed that you figured out all this stuff...and I am interested to see where life takes you...but try not to be too harsh with people who are well meaning. They try to steer you in the right direction...but they don't own the car.
I personally hope you go out there and kick ass (figuratively, of course)! LOL!

I think...

that is very well thought out and everything you say is right but what amazes me is how you read so deeply into everything. With so much going on in the world its easy to get sidelined by unimportant things. You have to focus on what you want and getting it. It's not easy. You also have to take what you're given and learn to work with it out of this came a great lesson (which you put quite bluntly.) You cannot go into the past and change anything now so you have to try to take the good out of it and keep moving forward. Go to a university or whatever you're planning on doing.

I would say good luck but honestly I don't think you need it.
I'll give you two Kudos I don't know what that does
