Some years ago the Italien pianist Alberto Barattiwi got hold of a caset tape with my record "A Window Towards Being". He liked it and played the music for his friends. On the tape it said "Music John Larsson". When Carlos Benardinello heard the music three years ago he and his friends tryied to find "John Larsson" in Sweden on the internet with no success. Later on they found me through my song titles "More Human" and "Marionett".
Last week I was invited to play with Carlo(drums) and his friends Fabio De March (bass), Alberto Mandarini (trumpet), Rudy Migliardi (trombone) abd Cladio Allifranchini (sax). What a great week togehter with these great musicianns and beautiful persons. We played three concerts and did one recording. So inspiring. As a fantastic bonus I got to meet Carlos wife Paula (and sweet daughter) and her two sisters and parents who run the winery "Cantine del Castello Conti". I got to try different vintages from their great nebbiolo (plus vespolina and uva rara grapes) wines, -84, 96, 00.
The only day free we went to Piemonte, this fantastic beautiful part of Italy and had some great Barbaresco and Barolo.
