ROYAL WADE KIMES’
BRINGIN’ IT HOME TRAIL RIDE & CONCERT
A ‘HIT’
The fourth annual concert held in Chester, Arkansas saw a record attendance of riders and concert attendees. Once
again, Crawford County’s award winning, home-grown, national recording
artist Royal Wade Kimes has returned home to give back to his home town
area. The October concert event was held under one of the largest tents ever erected in the area. The event started at 4:00 in the afternoon and went into the night with special Nashville guests. Various
vendors exhibited their wares including a hat-maker, the authentic
chuck wagon and several specialty shops from the local area. The ‘Bringin’ It Home’ Trail Ride and Concert helped feed over 2,400 children for the year, which makes Kimes’ proud.
“I
made an effort to spend some time at the Clearing House in Ft. Smith,
AR back in the summer and was overcome with emotion with what I saw. The people who work there are to be commended for their efforts that goes well beyond ‘just doing a job.’ They care and that is what sold me on the program four years ago. I look forward to 2010, the folks in Nashville along with me, we’ll make it even bigger,” said Kimes.
