... wow... In a perfectly plan evening with a six-pack and some food, I was going to completely avoid people and the hooplah surrounding the National Championship Game. However, I couldn't help but to be sucked in to the festivities. My roommate convince me to go to a party, where I watched the Gators beat some team from Oklahoma. The opposition was good and managed the move the ball with ease. I am still confused how we won the game, but it was a victory nonetheless. Watching football, especially when my favorite team is play, is entirely nerve-wracking. I had intended to leave the party at half-time to get some sleep if we were winning by 40 points, which is typical for my UF football watching habits. This game however, kept me at the party until 12am and for me, that is late. I'm old. I need my sleep. The game was just too close, which made me so nervous, there was not a hope for sleep until the game ended. I have to give it up to Tim Tebow. People will hate on him all they want, but he is amazing. He's a nice guy. He plays with heart. He has fun. He is exciting to watch. He's now a two time National Champion along with some of the other Gators. Exciting stuff around Gainesville these days to be honest. Productivity seems to be stalled while we celebrate, but that's okay. At least it avoids talks of firings and budget cuts. Regardless, we are going to enjoy our third football national championship and celebrate in traditional UF style, quite possibly upholding our #1 party school ranking in the process. GO GATORS!
