My company just moved, adding an hour to my commute, each way, so I get to work from home some days.  Last week, I worked from home on Wednesday and Friday, and Thursday was Yom Kippur, so I haven't been in the office since last Tuesday (one week ago, today, since yesterday was Columbus Day).

I walk in today, the first one in the door, and I find that my mouse is gone, my broadband connection has been unplugged and my desk is covered in various and sundry crap - it's just become the receptacle for all sorts of nick-knacks in my absence. 

What.  The fuck.

The people who can't "work from home" (aka sleep in) are pissed, Eric. Not only that, you claim holidays for two different ethnicities? Next you'll want Christmas off too! But hey, no worries, they tell me there's this big economic crisis going on, so pretty soon your company will dry up and collapse, leaving you free to become what you were born to be, and make a full-time commitment to your art. It will be glorious. I envy you.

G Wood, that was uncalled for, sir. Columbus Day is a national holiday. Jewish people get those off just like the rest of us. I think the point is, whether you get to work from home occasionally or not (and your jealousy is showing), people shouldn't screw with your shit at work. One man's opinion.

Oh, I was just kidding about the holidays, Mr. Stone, I hope Eric knows that. But maybe the people in the office really were jealous? Hey wait aminute--I had to work on on Columbus Day! What the...!
